Mueller has ‘enough evidence’ to charge Michael Flynn and his son in Trump-Russia investigation

Special counsel Robert Mueller has “enough evidence” to charge Gen. Michael Flynn and his son in his investigation into Trump-Russia, a new report says.

What does it say?

According to an exclusive report from NBC News, federal investigators have gathered enough evidence to bring charges against Flynn and his son. It wasn’t directly known what those charges would be.

However, according to NBC, Mueller’s investigation is scrutinizing Flynn’s lobbying work, investigating whether or not he laundered money and probing whether or not he lied to federal investigators about overseas contacts. The investigative team is also looking into whether or not Flynn stuck a deal with Turkish President Recep Erdogan to orchestrate the removal of an Erdogan political rival from the U.S.

It isn’t clear what Mueller is investigating Flynn’s son for, although NBC reported that Flynn’s son could be indicted at the same time as his father. More likely though, Flynn’s son is a pawn to be used to get Flynn to talk. Flynn’s son briefly served on the Trump transition team, while his father served as national security adviser for less than a month. Flynn’s son traveled with his father during the campaign and transition.

Mueller’s team plans to meet with more witnesses in the coming days to extract more information about Flynn.
