‘I know my God is a powerful one’: QB Carson Wentz encourages fans with his faith after knee injury By Dave Urbanski

Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Carson Wentz is out for the rest of the season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the team’s win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, the team confirmed.

But after the victory — which secured a playoff birth and the NFC East championship for the Eagles — the injured Wentz let his Christian faith shine once again:

“NFC East Champs!” he tweeted. “So proud of the resiliency of this team. Such a special group of men. And I greatly appreciate all the prayers! I know my God is a powerful one with a perfect plan. Time to just lean in to him and trust whatever the circumstances! #Proverbs 3:5-6.”
