ICC: World ignoring Fulani-led slaughter by Bill Bumpas (OneNewsNow.com)

Boko Haram, the Islamic terrorist group, is deservedly in the headlines for its horrific kidnappings and deadly attacks in Nigeria but another terrorist group is also wreaking havoc.

According to International Christian Concern, Boko Haram killed 37 people, including military personnel engaged in combat, during the month of March.

In that same time period, meanwhile, there were 27 attacks by Fulani militants leading to the deaths of 225 Christians, the destruction of tens of thousands of dollars in property, and thousands of families displaced from their homes.

ICC’s regional manager, Nathan Johnson, says Nigeria’s government and other countries are focused on Boko Haram and its atrocities.

“And yet this other issue,” he says, “is easily quadrupling, or more, the total number of deaths and destruction that’s taking place in the country right now.”

The tribesmen known as Fulani are often referred to as the Fulani herdsmen, who are known for their cattle herding – and for using the barrel of a gun to demand the right to farmers’ grazing lands.
